The human form is beautiful and the most difficult subject in the history of art is the female form. It is more difficult by far than the male form because of the requirement of subtlety and grace that any female form must convey. I had wanted to do a She Dragon for a long time. Erik Larsen has a terrific take on the women in his books and I just think a green woman looks great. Remember that green dancing girl in the old Star Trek episode? In his Savage Dragon book, Erik has pushed the limits when it comes to sexual content in a comic book. We thought that this was a good opportunity to push the limits in comic related sculptures, too. I wanted to do a figure that was graceful and beautiful, almost unaware of her physical charms.
